1. The damper can generate torque in either clockwise or counter-clockwise direction.
2. It is important to note that the damper itself does not come with a bearing, so make sure to attach a bearing to the shaft before installing it.
3. Follow the recommended dimensions provided below when creating a shaft for the TRD-47A damper. Using incorrect shaft dimensions may cause the shaft to slip out.
4.When inserting the shaft into the TRD-47A, spin it in the idling direction of the one-way clutch while inserting. Avoid forcing the shaft in from the regular direction to prevent damage to the one-way clutch.
Recommended shaft dimensions for TRD-47A:
1. External dimensions: ø6 0 –0.03.
2. Surface hardness: HRC55 or higher.
3. Quenching depth: 0.5mm or higher.
4. When using the TRD-47A damper, ensure that a shaft with the specified angular dimensions is inserted into the damper's shaft opening. A wobbling shaft and damper shaft may affect the proper slowing down of the lid when closing. Refer to the diagrams on the right for the recommended shaft dimensions of the damper.
The torque generated by a disk damper is dependent on the speed of rotation. Typically, the torque increases as the rotation speed increases, as shown in the accompanying graph. Conversely, the torque decreases when the rotation speed decreases. This catalogue provides the torque at a rotation speed of 20rpm.When it comes to a closing lid, the initial rotation speed is typically slow, causing the generated torque to be smaller than the rated torque.
The torque of the damper, known as the rated torque in this catalogue, is subject to changes based on the temperature of the surrounding environment. When the temperature rises, the torque decreases, and conversely, when the temperature drops, the torque increases. This behavior is attributed to the varying viscosity of the silicone oil contained within the damper, which is sensitive to temperature fluctuations. The accompanying graph provides a visual representation of the temperature characteristics mentioned.
Rotary damper are perfect soft closing motion control components used in many different industries such as auditorium seatings, cinema seatings, theatre seatings, bus seats. toilet seats, furniture, electrical household appliance, daily appliances, automobile, train and aircraft interior and exit or import of auto vending machines, etc.
