1. TRD-S2 generates high torque during lid closure from a vertical position (Diagram A), but excessive torque may hinder proper closure from a horizontal position (Diagram B).
When selecting a damper for a lid, use the following calculation:
Example:
Lid mass (M): 1.5 kg
Lid dimensions (L): 0.4m
Load torque (T): T = (1.5 kg × 0.4 m × 9.8 m/s^2) / 2 = 2.94 N·m
Based on this calculation, choose TRD-N1-*303 damper.
Ensure a secure fit between the rotating shaft and other parts to ensure proper lid deceleration during closure. The appropriate dimensions for fixing the rotating shaft and main body are provided on the right side.
